Partner and Head of Operational Support – Waitrose and Partners and John Lewis and Partner

Ben Farrell has held senior operational appointments in the John Lewis Partnership over the past 9 years. Recently, responding to the challenges facing retail currently John Lewis Partnership has developed new leadership roles that increasingly integrate Waitrose and John Lewis and Partners activities to drive efficiency and service. Ben has been appointed as Head of Operational Support in this new structure. Previously he was Head of Central Operations and Transport in John Lewis and held a wide and varied array of responsibilities across John Lewis’ daily and future operations. He joined the John Lewis Partnership as Group Head of Operational Risk Management in 2011 and was responsible for developing the John Lewis Partnership’s resilience and awareness of future risks to successful trading. Prior to joining the John Lewis Partnership he served in the British Army. Commissioned into the Irish Guards, he held commands during the invasion of Iraq, in Kosovo.
